If you read my post on why I left my editorial job, you know I’m eager to play around with this space in the coming weeks, starting with the five feelings posts I send out on Sundays.
As much as I’ve loved sharing five photos from my own life this past summer, I’ve often felt stumped, especially on the weeks when I’ve forgotten to take pictures. In theory, the experiment made sense and seemed relatable. But more often than not, it felt (at least for me) a bit forced. It’s hard, too, on weeks like this last one, when much more meaningful conversations need to be had about events happening in the world—I don’t want to publish a piece just because I feel I’m “supposed to.” Perhaps most importantly, I stopped enjoying curating them after a while.
Moving forward, I’d love to use these short Sunday sends to play around and try new things. I think I’ll still send out five photos/feelings from time to time, but I’d love to share more of what I’m reading and listening to,…
