It’s been a slow and quiet week/weekend, the weather grey and gloomy. I spent today doing typical Sunday chores: grocery shopping, folding laundry, putting fresh sheets on the bed. I also watched three films in the past 48 hours.
Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant — Not your typical war film. The cinematography is deeply emotive and Christopher Benstead outdid himself with the film score.
She Said — Fantastic acting and scriptwriting for such a harrowing story. Randomly, I loved the set designs and how homey/artistic Jodi and Megan’s apartments felt.
Wild Life — I love everything Jimmy Chin does. We went to Patagonia and Pumilin Park a few years ago, and so this was very nostalgic and moving to watch.
